The KISH team is multidisciplinary. It consists of medical doctors, epidemiologists, sociologists and psychologists. In addition the KISH research infrastructure includes statisticians and methodologists as well as a librarian, an English language specialist and several managers skilled in economics and administrative work.

Assoc. Prof. Ivan Žežula [Statistician]

Assoc. Prof. Ivan Žežula got his master’s degree in statistics from Charles University in Prague, Czechoslovakia (1984). After graduation he joined the Biometrical Center at the Veterinary University in Košice. While working there, he obtained his PhD in statistics from the Mathematical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava (1991). In 1991 he moved to PJ Šafárik University in Košice, where he works currently at Institute of Mathematics as a senior lecturer in applied mathematics. His research interests are linear models, multivariate statistics and computational statistics. He likes the application of mathematics in other sciences and has contributed to a number of different scientific studies.
