Alan Vanneman is the author of two novel-length Sherlock Holmes pastiches: Sherlock Holmes and the Giant Rat of Sumatra (2002), and Sherlock Holmes and the Hapsburg Tiara (2005).
He also wrote a remarkable fan-fiction Nero Wolfe threesome of novelettes, Three Bullets (2008), confidently and competently transferring Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin to the 21st century in the second and third story.
I helped proofreading the threesome, and later Alan asked me also to help proofread, and produce as e-books, two of his other works: Author! Author! and Vorak of Kolnap, both published electronically in 2014.
